Bathroom and family

Since the last post was about the hall bath here are some finishing touches that have come about over the past weekend. Keith and Kyle did some intense fine tuning awesome work and it totally shows this house is going to blow people's minds!!! There is still a little touch up and the shelves and such that need to get made but for now its a functioning bathroom that looks pretty legit!

Vanity they made installed- not the greatest picture but you get it

Framed in mirror, same stain as the vanity

Lighting =)

And then our vanity room area has been started, our toilet and what sill be walk in shower is in its own room behind a door. The floor was cleaned, remaining carpet torn up, backer board put in, vanity torn out and today tile was started!

Our pizzazz tile, not as "fun" but its going to look fantastic!!!

The boys have used the old carpet torn up from the L closet in the vanity and are using it so that they don't dirty up the carpet as bad. Well I moved it in a way it flipped up and there was still a staple and well Naomi had a casualty...

Scratched!

It was pretty painful, probably like how a paper cut is small but so, so painful, she was limping on it for the rest of the day =(

First 2 freckles!! She also has one on her collar bone area. It was inevitable, its cute but kind of at the same  sad that shes getting old enough to get freckles.

So then today at 730am (ugh- Naomi sleeps in until 830 give or take so yes it was early for me) we got the siding and trim for the South and East sides of the house!!!

Dropping it off in the front yard.

There it is, so much $$ on our front lawn right now! Eek!

Ok so here's some fun comparison pictures!

Top is me pregnant with Naomi at 16 weeks. Bottom is baby 2 at almost 15 weeks- I did just eat dinner but like I said not as neat and tidy as with Naomi haha.

And once again- if you are just reading this (Amanda, Caitlin, Sara) read down and see the other blogs.

Backyard, Bathrooms and Naomi

So while things are not quite done yet (understatement) I had to update because a lot has been going on! First off Brianna came over on her day off to do slave labor ;) we worked in the back yard to clear it to help prep for grass. Still undecided if were going to do sod of seed, I think for time wise we are leaning towards sod. Now I know that we aren't anywhere close to getting the whole back yard but I am hoping to get 2/3 of it worked on because its pretty much summer and Naomi just wants to play out side but our back yard is a tetanus trap. Over grown weeds/grass wood piles stacked everywhere and brick, SO. MUCH. BRICK! So she came over around noon and we ran over to Whole Foods to get some lunch and refreshment before we started since it was around 80 degrees, thankfully with a cool breeze as our back yard get direct and full sun for the majority of the day. Came home ate and I put the girl down for a nap so we could work, work, work. While it may not seem like much was done, let me tell you a lot was done! I don't know how many bugs we killed, slugs we squished with our fingers and then cringed at the yuckiness or trips with the wheel barrow we did. We were sweaty and hot but felt good at the end of the day and really the back yard looks so much bigger now!

We let Naomi push the cart and man did she love it! She was running around the store trying to run over little old ladies! She caught on pretty quick and pretty soon she was throwing everything in the cart! Oh dear!

North side, side yard, this is the side that will take a while to organize but we need somewhere to put things until we get situated!

Looking south, wood stacks ALL along the fence, garbage scattered everywhere, toys everything. Lets get to it!

Looking north, just out of the frame on the right is a huge stack of wood from the "deck" that was here. I am sad I didn't get a picture of the deck before it was taken down, it was a pretty epic fail on deck building.

Looking west, fence falling down and more tires.

After cleaning: ALL the wood cleared, pool deflated and drying and some of the brick pulled up. We decided to let the boys wrestle with the old half bath vanity.

So much wood we moved! Not stacked all pretty like but the pieces are all different and nails and it was hot haha.

Like I said: SO. MUCH. BRICK!!!!!!! and its not even all of it... seriously? seriously? It wasn't even on flat ground!

Ugh this was so tough to get up! from sitting for years, some were completely covered, we didn't even know it was there! We both found a great love for the shovel that helped us pull them up and find the hidden ones.

~On to the hall bath~

So as we worked on the back yard this past week the boys dominated the hall bath, still not done but its so exciting I had to share what we have so far!

Day one, taring up the floor down to the sub floor, taking out the toilet and the vanity. Go Kyle, Go!

The worst corner by the tub where the water would just pour on the ground. Thankfully we didn't have to replace the sub floor too.

Ok, NOT our bathroom but this is a picture from the Tides of an open vanity which we are going to do, at least some version of it. I'm not 100% sold but well figure it out. The boys are going to build it.

Starting to lay tile. Thank you, Thank you to the Gevas's for bringing us free 16X16 tile for both the upstairs bathrooms and vanity. We bought the other stuff just to add a little pizzazz!

Nearly finished floor, everything down just need to put the grout in.

Close up of the pizzazz tile.

Another close up.

Haha yeah... the hall way...

~Appointment~

And then on Friday I had my first appointment with the doctor that I will see through out my pregnancy and hopefully for delivery. Like I said Sutter is making changes that I'm not down with. However my doctor said if a bond is made between patient and doctor sometimes they will make more of an effort and come in out of hours to deliver so that is my goal. I have a new doctor, a lady doctor who has 2 young kids. She's really sweet and loved Naomi even when she was getting in to EVERYTHING! She did an ultra sound, Naomi even helped. She was having troubles getting the head but Naomi found it haha. No really she did. Sadly the printer was not working so once again no picture to share of baby... I swear at this rate the first print out pictures will be when we go in for the 20 week one! (oh yeah so for those of you who are just finding out I'm prego- scroll down a couple blogs and you'll get more of the story.) But the little heart rate is fine and baby #2 was moving, moving, moving!

~Golfing~

So this morning Keith was watching golf and, well, decided Naomi needed to start so here are a few pictures of her "golfing" for the first time.

Keith getting her started

She was pretty stoked

Just a little assistance

Working on her swing

Hit it Naomi!

Swing!

Gevas' take over

So epic epic epic fail on not having my camera last week while the Gevas clan was here. But anyways Mike (Keith's dad) decided that for Cindy's birthday he would surprise her and get her old dream car. Very sweet idea. It just so happens that Keith stumbles across one through a drifting friend in the right color at a good price. The car needed some work but all in all it was good. The week leading up to this Keith and Kyle worked and scrubbed and welded and cleaned and waxed and fixed this car. There was still more to get done when the Gevas' arrived with Kyle leaving and unable to work on the car during the day and the Gevas' coming sooner than we thought. So we hid the car the night before they arrived.
Well Tuesday rolls around and I text Cindy who all was coming and when they would be leaving. I was under the impression just the 2 of them and Kyle and that they would let us know when they were leaving. The next day I get a call from Miles, Keith's second youngest brother, saying they had left an hour ago and that him and Joe, the youngest, were in tow as well... hmmmm ok... no big. Then an hour later I get a text from Alicia, Keith's oldest sibling, saying that her and 2 kids were coming as well. So we went from housing 2 to housing 6 (Miles would be staying with a friend in Windsor) hmmm not going to lie I was stressin' a bit. For one reason and then because when family gets together, especially a big family, who now all have their own families and ideas and ways of doing things tensions can get strained and people can get rubbed the wrong way. Oh man this could get interesting. Well since they took 2 trucks to fit all the people and stuff, Mike, Cindy, Alicia +2 and Joe stayed in Napa with Mike's brother and Kyle and Miles came here. Miles was picked up instantly and swept off to Windsor, so all we had was Kyle that night, take a breath all is good.
Well 830 rolls around and the Gevas' are 45 minutes away. Everyone up and finish getting ready! Oh man do I wish I could have had a camera. They roll up pulling a huge ace trailer PACKED with Kyle's stuff and stuff for our house and 6 people in total climb out of the 6 seater truck. The ladies came in with the kids and I gave them the tour and then we sat and chatted while the men folk hurriedly unpacked both trucks and trailer. I swear the neighbors must have been worried!
Cindy went up to Gyserville where she use to teach and spent the day with old friends which gave the guys a chance to deal with getting new tires and wheels, which took the whole day because of fails. Mike was just done with it after all that so instead of waiting until Saturday to give Cindy her car he rolled up in it, top down right as she did and they went for a little cruise.

Not the greatest picture of the car but still she was thrilled and they ended up driving the car all over for the weekend! The following day it even got a new stereo system and everything! We were all a little worried because surprises can either be awesome or fails and typically its the later. Thankfully this one turned out perfectly.
The following day- Friday- they all went over to Ryan and Lora's for breakfast and chillin'. came back here and I had just put Naomi down 30 minutes earlier so they took the kids to the park let Naomi sleep for a while longer than I woke her up and we went to TRAIN TOWN!!!!!!!!! If you have toddlers you have to go to train town in Sonoma. So so so much fun! We have to go back to do more stuff and so Keith can come too! There was so much to see and do. Here's the link if anyone is interested: http://www.traintown.com/ for $5.25 a person we went on the train ride which went through great scenery and over bridges and through tunnels and stopped off in a "town" where you could feed animals and explore.  They also had little carnival rides and quarter machine rides and everything far too much fun for one trip! I sadly don't have any pictures from this but am hoping to and when I do I will post them. Naomi just LOVED the train, eyes wide, big grin just far too much fun! Then finished up the day back at Ryan and Lora's for dinner and games.
Saturday we wanted to go to the beach but it was too windy so just the Utah-arians went and then they met us at the Redwood grove off of East side road in Windsor for picnic and kayaks and finishing and fun! Once again I need to try to get pictures from that but here are a few of Naomi and her cousin Lilly:

I know its blurry but its cute because they are hugging

They both know how to give high fives but some how this was tricky

Where are the trees Lilly?

Uh-huh...

Come with me

See here are the trees

and some more

and just a few more!

Super cute and super fun like I said I will try to get more soon and will post the rest.

Then Sunday was the baby blessing of Lilly's younger brother Owen Samuel and a BBQ- all fun.

So all in all no one got pissed at each other everyone had lots of fun and we all still like each other. Very good trip! Haha

Oh and Alicia make bows so Naomi while she wont wear one....

Will wear them all but only long enough to snap a few photos and then take them out. haha. Anyways super cute and I love her. And I love being part of the Gevas family =)

                           in the
                        2012 year

However you look at it that day-ish will be memorable. Any guess on why???

Ah yes, so clever, not that it was hard I know...

Well towards the end of January (Heather can you guess what day??) I got my IUD out. I prayed about it and before I could get 3 words out I was over whelmed with the assurance that it was the right time and that this was defiantly what we should do. It was so sweet. And, well, first shot did it. Haha. From about week 4 to week 9 ish I was nauseous (not like throwing up just feeling like poo) and so, so, SO tired! Finally the actual "morning" sickness kicked in but it wasn't just this that set us off that I had no vacancy (in my uterus) there were multiple symptoms. When we finally verbally said it to each other I couldn't stop smiling and Keith smiled rubbed my belly and said, wonder what it is?
Well with Keith's parents coming I had to make sure things were fine. However Sutter has changed its protocol. I made an appointment only to find out that it was just to confirm that I was pregnant- no ultra sound! Then they signed me up for 3 different appointments over nearly a months time, none of which were ultra sounds! Really people? REALLY?!? 1st one I got out of, it was unnecessary. The next one, which I had today, was to set up Medi-Cal and I have one next week, to, I believe, meet my doctor but not necessarily get an ultra sound. Well that just wasn't going to fly with Keith's parents and oldest sister coming to stay with us. I had to get blood tests so afterwards I went and BEGGED the receptionist. Well I was S.O.L. there but she said if I had "cramping" I could go to urgent care and they could set me up with an ultra sound that day! Sweet, since the Gevas clan was coming the following day. So after lots of running around, peeing in a cup and giving blood I was sent to Memorial Hospital and got an Emergency ultra sound. The "fear" was an ectopic pregnancy, which is where the egg attaches in your fallopian tube and then the pregnancy is non viable because the fetus can't grow. Ok so Naomi's first ultra sound was at like 7 weeks 6 days and she was a blob with a heart beat. This baby was at 10 weeks and 4 days and it looks like a real person! Head, nose, chim (as Naomi calls it) torso, legs, arms everything! and only 1 1/2 inches long! such a TINY TINY TINY little person! Heart beat was perfect, baby in my uterus and moving so much! Absolutely in love! they didn't give me a print out picture and I forgot to grab a picture form my phone. Well I started to feel better for like 4-5 days, then 2-3 days of bad illness, 4-5 days of good while the Gevas clan was here, then the past 2 days have been bad... I could barely keep anything down and apparently throwing up in such a way that I burst some blood vessels in my eye. Hot right? Ugh!

Sorry this is the only picture I have for this fun blog BUUUUUUT what are you going to do? Ill post my ultra sound picture AS SOON as I get one!

So I guess with Naomi I spread the word by day that I would have the "bun in the oven" for thanksgiving (since that's when I told people) but lets just say for this thanksgiving I'll bring the whole gosh darn turkey!

Soooooooo yay, baby time again and yes I'm already freaking showing a bit, yuck! Not nearly as neat and tidy as with Naomi but that's what happens with number 2 I guess. and just FYI keeping this one off Facebook, at least for now. So I guess start guessing the sex because end of June early July well be hopefully finding out what we're having!
