some finishing touches

So with the bank coming MONDAY!!!! as in day after tomorrow!!!! I went and spent a bunch of money to "pretty-fy" our bathroom area. Looks a lot better and more finished. A few pictures:

So I bought some plain, white sheer curtains, I really don't understand how curtains can be so much money but surprisingly I found these for $9.99 a curtain at Bed Bath and Beyond and then they are just on shower curtain tension rods. Works for now and actually looks fairly decent, even if it doesn't show so well in the pictures.

Another shot, that nasty old restaurant yellow bubbly glass will be gone, we have a new window for there that actually opens, which we can not wait for because that room gets so stuffy. The guys wanted to kick it out so many times while working up there! Me too actually haha.

Bathroom painted white, new TP holder and new bath rug, also painted the door white. nice.

Got a new shower curtain until we turn this in to a walk in shower. Then this will go in the hall bath and we will "retire" the other nasty, paint stained one.

Oh yeah I have a baby girl cooking in there. freaking huge ol' bump =)

Uh-oh! I lost her!

And as a celebration the boys went camping and fishing out at the coast. 11 nice fish.

Yum cant wait to learn how to cook fish!

She LOVED to look at them but was so not down to touch them. Love her so much. Kind of a silly shot of her but still.

are you jelly?

ok ok so its not done but I couldn't wait! The guys are genius! It looks amazing and really its not too expensive and a basic design, takes time sure but everything worth it does, but it looks so so awesome!!!! There is still more stuff to do but for the bank this will work! Take a look at what I mean:

 Starting out, frame and fit.

 Putting on the "ebony" stain

 AH! can you say gorgeous!!!!!

This is the best picture to show the darkness of the stain. Isn't it amazing!!!!!!!?

Its still as dark as the above picture (flash lightens it) but you can still see the wood grains

ok, ok not plumbed in but daaaaang

The guys gave me crap about spending the $44 on these, didn't have the faith but after getting them on they work perfectly, especially for only $44. There are nice ones but for twice and way more than that.

Check out these sinks all ramp like and all. They are so cool! Square and ramp, hard and soft lines. Love the contrast!

Look what Sam built us!!! A chimney scoop topper thing. Its awesome he did such an amazing job! We are very lucky to have his help!

Oh and I pulled up the rest of the brick patio thing. Yes there is still more brick =/ but the patio thing is gone and do you see that massive brick stack in the back? Yeah, its pretty freaking big probably three sections of 3' by 3' piles. That's a lot of brick!!!

Were on a winning streak =)

So today we found out that we are 2:0, hence the "winning streak" comment. I know everyone already knows this so here are a few pictures, They aren't the greatest because I had to take a picture of them with my camera, for some random reason our scanner isn't talking to our computer right even though we've troubles shot it as much as we can. I dunno weird but here she is. Gotta say its kinda weird knowing... since with Naomi we waited.

Thumbs up!

No, we haven't done the name thing yet. Luckily we tend to like each others girl names better than agreeing on a boy name ha ha!

a little something something

Ok short blog.

I had an appointment the other day baby is fine and kicking, I started feeling #2 around 15 weeks, I'm 18 weeks now. It's not every day but still its nice. I'm totally bumping and at least its looking more like a baby bump and not like I'm letting myself go haha. Well my doctor sent in the order for my big 20 week ultra sound!!!!! I will be Monday the 25th in the later afternoon. Since I am keeping it chill on Facebook but I don't expect people to check on here 24/7 I will post 1:1 if its a boy (as in we'll have 1 girl and 1 boy in our family) or 2:0 if we are cooking another girl! I will post the pictures on here! so I guess its time to start "taking bets" on what's in here.

On another note Naomi has her 2 year appointment on Tuesday so we can see how big shes getting! She is such a love. saying sentences like "here you go mama" "ok guys!" and so on its pretty freaking cute. However we have also hit the terrible 2's but really she's not even that horrible. Mainly she'll pout and glare at you and throw herself on the ground but doesn't kick or scream. She will glare and point at you and growl out a "YOU!" but were battling that with when ever she says "you" I'll say "me" and when she says "me" I'll say "you" slowly turns her frown upside down =)

So there is another house blog after this if you have a moment!

Its happening!!

Ok so I have explained at least the tip of the ice burg about the bank and that whole stupid situation. Well I remembered slightly when we were signing the huge book of papers something about a 6 month limit for the construction. Well if we were doing it like the bank wanted and our contractor was doing everything then yeah it totally could have bit since we have done 90% of the work (at least) its gone a tad slower... So I asked our contractor about it and he didn't know and we were coming up on our 6 month anniversary with the keys so we were getting nervous since we hadn't even started siding! I emailed our loan officer and she didn't know and sent it to an underwriter... well I went through our paper work in hope to find something and well this is what I found this:

"...You must show a steady rate of completion on your rehabilitation project. All repairs/remodeling must be completed within 6 months of the date of your rehabilitation loan agreements...

...Failure to complete the repairs/remodeling within 6 months from the dates of your rehabilitation loan agreement will cause your lender to take serious steps including but not limited to, calling your mortgage loan due and payable."

AAAAAAND of course I read this after hours Friday of memorial day weekend... So I text our lovely Realtor and ask when that date was, if it was the day we signed papers or the day we got keys because, if you remember, that was almost a weeks difference. Well she didn't know, not her area. So Tuesday I call and actually get a hold of our loan broker and she says the rehabilitation loan is when we first signed our contractor a couple weeks in to the process and typically about a month before the house was even ours!!! You have got to be kidding? Banks are stupid and greedy. FML we are already over the 6 month deadline... She had never had this happen and asked what was up. I told her I was sick for a month that I couldn't have the workers over (which was true I was so nauseous because of baby #2 I barely left the couch) and then there was more but too much to go over on the phone but it was legit. Since no one was hasseling us she said were pretty much slipping under the radar but to get it done ASAP and if anything comes about there are a few ways to battle it so don't loose sleep but get it done! So the intensity began. The guys got 90% of the south side done. Our contractor kept wanting to send his guys because they have no work and we kept them at bay but when the bank called him and started rattling his cage he sent a guy over and we paid Kyle to stay home from work at the Tides to help him. Oh goodness! Slam slam slam. But then we realized that we didn't order enough trim... FML take two! So Mike, our contractor, places an order and it was suppose to be here Friday. Well the distributor, located in Stockton, sent the wrong stuff... EFFFFFF! So we lost a day... And we weren't suppose to get it until the following Tuesday! Well if that was the case we only had like 2 hours of work until we couldn't go any farther... I told Mike that I would borrow a truck and drive to Stockton and pick up the trim if that would make it happen. Well he found not the same trim but close enough at a place in Healdsburg and they could deliver in a few hours. SWEET! So that's obviously what we did. He also dropped off his dumpster trailer for us to clean up with and it was nearly empty. So Keith gets home from work and we were able to get Jerom Harrington and his kid brother over to help for a few hours. Jerom helped Keith with trim and some tar paper and the brother started filling the dumpster. Then THANKFULLY Jerom said he would come over and work a full day on Saturday with Keith and Kyle and siding got going!!! Holy cow they slammed it out! A big help went to this tool Jerom brought. I was like a paper cutter on steroids. You put the siding under the blade, ka-chunk, and its cut! And it could handle like 2 or 3 sheets at time! And of course Saturday was our first triple digit day. SO hot! But those 3 amazing boys got so so so much done!!! Take a look!

What Keith and Kyle got done before the bank started calling.

Chimney looks fantastic!

What got done between Kyle and one of Mike's guys

That is the dinning room and kitchen areas.

Later that night Keith and Kyle put our master bedroom window in. Kinda sketch but everyone is still alive so I guess it's all good??

Kyle, Keith and Jerom dominating on Saturday.

Looks amazing! Way to go guys!

Also started this area by the kitchen slider.

Dio chillin' on the work bench when the work was over, love him!

Ok so it still looks messy but if you remember there was a HUGE pile of crap wood against the fence that is no longer there. That pile on the clear tarp by her play thing is full and ready for the dumpster and the yard got raked up a bit. Jerome's kid brother was such a huge help!

Yeah so that dumpster that was pretty much empty... not so much anymore! haha

Mike is sending a crew over monday to finish up the east side and the front pillar. Shouldn't be too much work but I'm sure it will take them all day haha =/ but we should for sure be able to get the bank out by the end of this week!!! I can not even begin to imagine that! yay!
