Half Bath now like 95% done

Ok so we got the floor and sheet rock done, window in and everything painted, well..... the whole place was looking pretty clean and then there was the vanity... An eye sore and just depressing looking. This is the transformation from trash to pretty.

See what I mean? YUCK!

Window framed, and since then painted.

Top gone

Vanity in the family room

Yeah more ghetto of our house. Kyle was just going to run the plumbing in the wall like normal but there where already pipes in the way from the stupid wet bar, that in the end will be gone, but since it was going to be such a pain...

We just piped it out side...

and made a little shelf thing...

an enclosed shelf thing so you don't see the piping

Sheet rock fixed and primered

Ok this is why I LOVE craigslist. Our house has very clean sharp lines and so we wanted to find a boxy sink. Well we did, at Home Depot for $210 before tax. Shoot me. We would have bought it but they didn't have it in store so we were going to have to order off line. Well Kyle reminded me to check craigslist, DUH! I live on craigslist, why haven't I checked there?! Yeah so the EXACT sink from Home Depot was listed a few days previous. It was still available. In north Petaluma. FOR $75!!! In the end that probably saved us about $150. But that's not all, it didn't come with a faucet. I don't know about you but I think its ridiculous to have to spend over $100 to get a semi decent looking bathroom sink faucet and some go up to a grand! That's stupid, it's a faucet people! AND you still have to buy more plumbing parts on top of that. Back to craigslist. Found a guy selling a sink with faucet and all the additional plumbing for $60 obo. I said $40, he said $50, I said I really only need the faucet, he caved. Another screaming deal!!! Just the additional plumbing was going to be around $20-30 and we got EVERYTHING for $40! The faucet looks like a $130-150 faucet and then the extra $20 for the plumbing. We paid $115 for the whole set up, sink faucet and plumbing, by buying used instead of spending close to $300 or more! I. Love. Being. Thrifty! I totally get a rush on knowing I'm getting an amazing deal.

So here's the finished product and this sink is HUGE! It was only maybe 2 inches smaller than that ugly vanity that was there.

So we pretty-fied the door too =)

Finished product. No we didn't replace the door and yes there are still holes on both sides but it still looks awesome!

This is the door going in to the garage and how all the doors look. Over time we are going to convert all the doors in the house to look like the half bath door. Which matches our windows. I think it looks so so so much better than this, Kyle Boardman is awesome, we are very thankful to have him with us.

So what's left? I ordered- off Ebay, my other favorite place to shop, matching square toilet paper holder and towel ring. They will be here at the end of the week or beginning of the following. We will then probably make a wall cabinet for above the toilet to store TP, wash clothes and miscellaneous toiletries. And probably use the doors from the old yucky vanity since I had already painted them. Then get, probably some dark navy blue, wash clothes and hang some art so you have something pretty to look at haha.
